Sarah Dessen never fails to impress me. Once I pick up one of her teen novels, I can never put down the book. One reason why I love Dessen's books is because they are so relateable. When i mean relatable I mean that most of her books are based off of relationships. The relationships in her books are what ever girl dreams of because you just read about them and want to be in the story.
In The Moon and More Emaline has this boyfriend Luke who is just the whole package. But while working at her job in the small town of Colby, she begins to wonder what else is out there for her.
I feel sympathy for Emaline because she has a very hard life at home with her dad not being around and a stressful relationship with her step family. While reading this book I want to cry and laugh and get excited. That's why I love Sarah dessen books and I hope one day I can write just like her.
